The Quinta do Olival space was the home of our grandparents, Rita and Francisco, farmers from the beginning of the 20th century who produced and harvested from the land, in what is currently the natural environment of Quinta do Olival. The house has been in the family for over 150 years ago, at the time of our great-grandparents, it was called Quinta do Outeiro and the house was called Casa da Palhada. of ancient stone”, they produced wine in the “Casa Adega do Lagar” and extracted the oil from the olive trees in the current house of the “Adega do Buraco”. A brief but important story that leads us to respect even more the heritage of Rita and Francisco.
A nossa história
Quinta do Olival is a fusion of contemporary and rustic architecture, it is a finding of the past in the present, evident in the space itself. It was practically recovered from the ruin, and today it offers our guests the comfort of today, adding the experience of an old farmer’s house.
We offer a personalized and family service, permanent contact with Nature with Agricultural Activities, with the enjoyment of the biological vegetable garden or the Orchard, swimming pools with salt treatment, and bicycles to get to know the corners where Portugal was made. We have small trails to think about activities close to the house so that in the morning you can enjoy the essence and experiences of the village. Quinta do Olival is a tourist complex, in the form of Agritourism, and, therefore, inserted in an agricultural environment. It consists of five houses.
